Partner, Corporate
Adrian specialises in corporate law, advising on acquisitions, disposals, private equity, and governance. With a wealth of experience, he frequently advises senior in-house legal leaders on complex, high-value transactions across diverse sectors and regularly consults on strategic issues and transactions. Earlier in his career Adrian had a secondment working in-house with a global manufacturer.
Partner, Head of Intellectual Property
Maria is a specialist in intellectual property law with a background in broader commercial disputes. She has a particular focus on intellectual property disputes in particular those involving patents, trade marks, copyright, and design rights. She also advises on domain name and social media disputes.
Legal Director, Real Estate, Renewables and Clean Energy
Bringing in-house experience from a leading UK renewables developer, James specialises in clean energy and real estate development. He advises generators and offtakers on project rights, site assembly, and acquisitions. He also has experience in strategic land and real estate finance, having acted for landowners, developers, and funders.
Partner, Employment and Head of Training, Shaping Excellence
Sam advises businesses and executives on all aspects of employment law, including collective redundancies and tribunal litigation. He also supports organisations with large scale change management projects. He leads Birketts’ Shaping Excellence training division and has sector expertise in food, transport, housing, and manufacturing.
Partner, Commercial & Technology
Ian brings over 20 years’ experience gained in top-tier law firms and senior in-house roles. He advises on the full spectrum of commercial contracts, technology agreements, AI and the effective use and monetisation of data.
Partner, Dispute Resolution
Josh advises corporate and individual clients on complex, high value litigation in the County and High Court. He specialises in contractual disputes, professional negligence, and insolvency proceedings, and brings valuable experience of working closely with in house legal teams. Josh also leads the firm’s debt recovery team which acts for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Legal Director, Real Estate
Matthew specialises in real estate finance, asset structuring, large-scale development, and energy projects. He advises on acquisitions, disposals, and complex regeneration schemes, bringing extensive experience with institutional investors, funds, and public-private partnerships.
Head of Client Development
Ali began her career as a corporate lawyer before moving in‑house, working across both the private and public sectors in senior legal and commercial roles instructing external legal counsel. She later returned to professional services, transitioning into marketing and client development, where she now focuses bringing the client voice directly into the business.
